What is The Coffee Bean Card?
The Coffee Bean Card is a loyalty card introduced to reward regular customers with loyalty points called "BEANS" which can be subsequently redeemed against purchases at The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf outlets (CBTL).
Simultaneously, The Coffee Bean Card doubles up as a prepaid card, which can be use to pay for purchases made at all of CBTL outlets in Malaysia. Registered Cardholders will be kept informed of CBTL special events, promotions and be entitled to exclusive special offers.

How much does The Coffee Bean Card cost?
The initial fee for The Coffee Bean Card is RM25.

Where can I purchase The Coffee Bean Card?
The Coffee Bean Card is available at all CBTL outlets in Malaysia except Penang International Airport, LCC Terminal and East Malaysia.

Am I able to hold more than one The Coffee Bean Card and can I use multiple cards for purchases?
Yes, customers can hold more than one The Coffee Bean Card. Each card will have a unique card (account) number.
However, Cardholders can only use one The Coffee Bean Card for each payment transaction. BEANS accumulated under different card accounts held by the same Cardholder cannot be combined for purposes of redemption.

Where can I top-up my Coffee Bean Card?
The Coffee Bean Card is re-useable. You may top-up the value on The Coffee Bean Card at any CBTL outlets nationwide except Penang International Airport, LCC Terminal and East Malaysia.
A minimum value of RM30 is required for each top-up.
Top-up can be made via Cash, Visa, MasterCard or American Express.

What are the benefits of The Coffee Bean Card?
You will be rewarded with 5 BEANS for every RM1 spent using The Coffee Bean Card. These BEANS can be used by Cardholders to offset the cost of purchases made at CBTL.
In addition, you will be informed of other on-going CBTL promotions and be given exclusive offers.

How can I be kept updated on ongoing promotions?
When you purchase The Coffee Bean Card, you will be given an application form. You can register your details by either handing over the completed form at a CBTL outlet or register your details online via the CBTL website. CBTL will keep you updated via its online mailing list.

How can I earn and redeem the BEANS?
For every RM1 spent using The Coffee Bean Card at a CBTL outlet, 5 BEANS will be credited to The Coffee Bean Card account. The more you spend with your card, the more BEANS you will earn. However, BEANS are not credited with the initial purchase of the card.
When you have accumulated sufficient BEANS, you may use the BEANS to redeem against purchases made at CBTL outlets*.

Is there an expiry date for the BEANS?
All BEANS earned in each calendar year, will expire 3 months after the calendar year end i.e. on the 31st of March of the following year.

Where can I check my remaining Prepaid Value & BEANS?
All TCB (The Coffee Bean) Cardholders should register themselves and their TCB Card here. After registration, you will be able to check all your transactions and remaining Prepaid Value & Beans anytime.

What if The Coffee Bean Card is non-readable?
In the event when The Coffee Bean Card is not readable by the system, CBTL will replace a new card, provided the following conditions are met:

Card Cardholder has registered with CBTL, and CBTL, at it’s discretion, will replace the non-readable card only if the Card Cardholder can prove his identity as the rightful owner of the Card or, |

Non-readable card MUST be returned. |

What will happen if I lose or damaged The Coffee Bean Card?
As the Prepaid Value is treated as quasi cash, lost or damaged cards cannot be replaced.

Am I able to use The Coffee Bean Card in other countries with Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf outlets?
Currently, The Coffee Bean Card is only accepted in Peninsular Malaysia except Penang International Airport, LCC Terminal and East Malaysia.
