Sun sweetened
coffee from the home
of the Amber Wing Butterfly
From the world’s largest exporter of specialty coffee and its largest coffee growing state of Minas Gerais, nestled at the fringes of the Atlantic Forest, small family owned fazendas dot the rugged mountain terrains of Botelhos, Brazil. At elevations of 1,350 – 1,600 meters, coffee cherries are handpicked and processed as a pulped natural where the coffees are dried and sweetened naturally by the Brazilian sun on patios after washing off their skins.
Our coffee master, selected a traditional Bourbon varietal and roasted it in small batches to a medium-dark roast. Achieving a single origin espresso that is light enough to retain the quintessential Brazilian coffee profile of fruit and nuts while being dark enough to develop distinctive caramelized notes.
