Terms & Conditions:
Contest Mechanics (“Contest Mechanics”):
1. Visit any The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf® outlet and spend at least RM25 to obtain a Purple Passport and your first stamp.
2. Earn a new stamp with every RM25 spent.
3. Once you have collected 10 stamps on your Purple Passport, simply write the correct answer to the question, “How old is The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf® Malaysia this year?”.
4. Submit your Purple Passport via a drop box at your nearest The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf® outlet. Please ensure your name and contact information are correct.
5. You may submit more than one completed Purple Passport; each submission increases your chance of winning.
1.0 Campaign Period
1.1 The Purple Passport contest (“The Contest”) organised by The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf (M) Sdn Bhd (441970H) (“The Organiser”) will run from 1st October 2022 to 31st October 2022 (“Contest Period”). Any submissions received before or after this period will be disqualified.
1.2 The Organiser may at its sole discretion, extend the Contest Period at any time without prior notice (“Contest Period Extension”). Should any Contest Period Extension be announced, the terms and conditions (“Terms and Conditions”) will remain in full effect for the extended Contest Period (“Extended Contest Period”).
2.0 Eligibility
2.1 Participants (“Participants”) must fulfill the following conditions to be eligible:
2.1.1 Be a citizen or permanent resident of Malaysia, aged 18 and above (proof of identification may be requested).
2.1.2 Must NOT be permanent and/or contract employees (“Employee”) of the Organiser, or an immediate family member of said Employee.
2.1.3 Having completed all qualifying steps as stipulated in the Contest Mechanics.
2.1.4 Provided complete contact information on their Purple Passport (“Purple Passport”).
2.1.5 Adheres to the Terms and Conditions throughout the Contest Period.
2.2 By entering this Contest, Participants automatically agree to accept and abide by the Terms and Conditions. All decisions of the Organiser with respect to any aspect of the Contest, including without limitation the eligibility of entries, are final and binding on all Participants in all matters as they relate to the Contest.
2.3 In the event of any discrepancy or inconsistency between the Terms and Conditions of the Contest and any other Contest related communications, including but not limited to social media channels, point of sale, and external media coverage, the Terms and Conditions of the Contest shall prevail, govern and control.
3.0 Winner Selection, Announcement and Prizes
3.1 Winner announcement will be made via the Organiser’s social media after the end of the Contest Period, or if applicable, after the end of the Extended Contest Period. The Organizer reserves the right to use any other method or medium it deems fit at its sole and absolute discretion for the purpose of announcing the Contest winners (“Winners”).
3.2 Prizes for the Contest are as below:
3.2.1 3 x Grand Prizes: 4-day-3-night stay at select hotels as determined by the Organiser in Penang, Kuala Lumpur or Johor.
3.2.2 25 x Consolation Prizes: Exclusive 25th Anniversary merchandise and RM100 worth of TCB Card credit.
3.3 Prizes are subject to availability and the Organiser reserves the absolute right to substitute the prizes with another of equivalent value without prior notice. No cash alternative to the prizes will be offered. The prizes are not transferable.
3.4 Eligible Participants will be selected at random to be determined a contest winner and may be required to undergo a verification process before being confirmed as a Winner. Participants agree that failure to provide any requested details during verification may lead to forfeiture as a winning entry.
3.5 The Winners as determined by the Organiser are final and no further correspondence will be entertained in regard to this.
3.6 The Organiser will make three (3) attempts to contact Winners via the contact information provided by the Winner on their Purple Passport. Should these attempts fail, the Winner will be deemed uncontactable.
3.7 Should the Winner not be contactable (“Uncontactable Winner”) or if the Winner chooses to forfeit their claim voluntarily, the Organiser reserves the right to select at random another eligible participant in their place. Any Uncontactable Winner henceforth forfeits their claim to the prize completely.
4.0 Liability
4.1 Participants and Winners shall assume full liability and responsibility in case of any liability, mishap, injury, damage, claim or accidents [including death] resulting from their participation in the Contest, the redemption process and/or utilisation of the prizes and agree to release and hold the Organiser free of any liability.
4.2 The Organiser will not be liable for any loss/damaging of prizes in transit to Winner resulting from but not limited to inaccurate delivery address provided by Winner, mishandling by courier, external circumstances occurring during delivery, and so on.
5.0 Publicity
5.1 All other personal details collected as part of the competition will be used in conjunction with our Privacy Policy.
6.0 Disqualification
6.1 The Organiser reserves the right to at its sole discretion to disqualify any Participants who:
6.1.1 The Organiser determines to be tampering or have tampered with the entry process or the operation of the Contest, or to be acting in breach or potential breach of the Terms and Conditions.
6.1.2 The Organiser believes has undertaken fraudulent practice and/or activities or other activities harmful to this Contest or the Contest submission process. Fraudulent activities are deemed to include but are not be limited to any act of deceit and/or deception and/or cheating.
7.0 Amendments
7.1 The Organiser reserves the right to change, amend, delete or add to these Terms and Conditions without prior notice at any time and Participants agree to be bound to such amendments to the Terms and Conditions.
